🕳️Summary
Hi! I'm Yuqing Gao, a passionate product designer with a strong insight into innovative design. For me, design is not just about aesthetics; it’s about solving real problems and improving lives. During my Master's study in Research Design at the Royal College of Art in the UK, I focused on the exploration and innovation of wearable devices. One of my key projects was the Mobile Garden, a scent therapy wearable device aimed at treating awake bruxism. This design was shortlisted for the Helen Hamlyn Design Awards and has not only addressed bruxism but also enhanced user well-being through therapeutic scents.
Throughout my 6-year journey as a product designer and researcher, I have refined my skills in design thinking, teamwork, and research. My design portfolio, which can be viewed on my website, includes a variety of products such as furniture, industrial goods, and wearable devices (including backpacks, neck braces, and therapeutic wearables). My work combines aesthetics and functionality to closely align with market demands and enhance user experience.
