🕳️ Lost Realm

Dimensions: 16:9
Technique & Material: AIGC
Year: 2023, 2 months

"Lost Realm" is an experimental short film incorporating AIGC elements, entirely composed of still photographs. The film draws inspiration from the French science fiction short film "La Jetée."

This project is inspired by the phenomenon of sleep bruxism (teeth grinding) and uses the medium of dreams to explore the estranged relationships between contemporary youth and their families, as well as the feelings of isolation and helplessness that some young people experience under societal pressure. The short film intertwines the themes from Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis," particularly focusing on the isolation and struggles of Gregor Samsa within the context of alienated family relationships, and his transformation into a giant insect upon waking. The project aims to encourage people to reflect on their inner worlds and seek a more authentic and positive inner self.
